March 10th at Masquer's Cabaret...
Thanks to all who came out to Masquer's last Friday! It was an absolutely lovely evening. I know the wait outside was cold and wet (I apologize for that!), and I really appreciate you staying and braving the inclement weather for me.
While it may have its faults (the above mentioned wait being one), the look and feel of Masquer's is a good match for the torch singer I fancy myself to be. I love the framed pictures of old Hollywood stars, dim lighting, plum colored walls, and heavy stage draperies. I also have a special place in my heart for the disco ball.
Here's a random shot of me before the show, waiting for a cup of tea ($4 tea - Good God! Maybe that's why I look slightly irritated?).

Here are just a few of the people in attendance...I wish we'd gotten to more of you, because you were all looking gorgeous.
Amy, Christina
The stage shots are a bit sketchy (and ummm, not too flattering) thanks to my dinky digital camera. My particular favorite is the bottom picture, ha. That one provided endless amusement.

Here is a morning after shot of my keyboard. It looks as exhausted as I was...and yes, those are lyrics taped on there.

Even the dogs are exhausted by proxy...

Good times, good times.
Thanks again to everyone who was kind enough to share their evening with me. You're beautiful people, and it was a privilege to play for you.
Love,
Katrina
